Uniforms (shorts/jersey/socks) are included as part of the player’s registration fee for the recreational program.

• 4-5 year olds can join the U6 program (easy way to remember is that U6 is UNDER 6). Our U6 program established in 2003 has grown into the most popular U6 program in the area. Players, parents and coaches attend a 25-minute "practice" directly preceding their team's 3v3 game. This structure makes it easy for parents to volunteer as coaches. The Tosa U6 program fully embraces the idea of playing at practice, not practicing to play. Training games are designed to disguise the learning and development of
  foundational soccer skills in the context of fun games.
• 6 years and up can join our U7 and up programs. Coaches make it welcoming and easy to acclimate. Typically practice for recreation is 1x/week but some coaches choose to volunteer an extra day which is optional.

The Fall season generally begins after Labor Day and runs through the end of October and the Spring season generally starts in April and is completed by the first or second weekend in June.

Players are required to wear shin guards. They may play in athletic (tennis) shoes or rubber cleats. Cleats are recommended.

Tosa Kickers, in collaboration with the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club offers indoor leagues at Uihlein Soccer Park for recreational teams at their indoor facility. The younger teams, U7 through U10, play on Saturday mornings/afternoons. U11 through U14 recreational teams are able to play in the indoor leagues as leagues are made available for each age level.

Tosa Kickers is proud of the balance we’ve struck between competition and fun when developing our very own brand of youth soccer. One of the ways we do this in our recreational program is by having rules around team selection based on age, geography, previous team affiliation and number of players on each team.

While these rules are in place, we want to maximize fun at the recreational level, so we will always do what we can to honor “buddy requests” during team formation. Playmetrics will have your schedule posted within 2-3 weeks of the season starting. This should be your go-to for all information for your child’s games and practices.

You should address all issues regarding practices and games with the coach.

Tosa Kickers is an organization built on parents willing to volunteer to coach at the select and recreational level. If interested in coaching your child’s recreational soccer team, please denote that in the recreational sign-up form AND contact our Assistant Director of Operations that will put you in touch with the correct age-group coordinator (amycomaris@gmail.com) before June (prior to the new fall/spring season).

All coaches are expected to do the following:

• Acquire a coaching pass card, which involves a background check and completion of the “safe sport” certification process.
• Abide by the code of conduct of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.
• Be available when teams train 1-2x / week at the U7 through U14 age level and attend eight league games in fall and eight in spring.
• The fall season begins with practices the third week of August and continues through October and the spring season begins the last week of March and continues through the second week of June.
